5 Healthy Breakfast Ideas

The reason I’m writing this blog is for my friends, who don’t live with their families and are independently handling their lives. Nobody has got time even for breakfast, which is said to be the most important meal of the day. So here I come up with 5 healthy breakfast ideas that are not only easy to make but also will help you in losing weight.

POHA:

Made up of flatten rice, popularly known as chivda, it is cooked along with multiple vegetables and peanuts. Garnished with coriander or curry leaves, it is super easy to make.

Benefits:

  • Easy to digest
  • Low in calories
  • Rich in iron
  • Control sugar levels

UPMA:

It is a very famous south Indian dish, also known as Uppittu, which is made up of semolina (suji). Different people may have a different way of making this amazing dish. It is a very light food and keeps your stomach full for long hours.

Benefits:

  • Rich in minerals like magnesium, zinc etc
  • Rich in vitamins B and E
  • Great source of protein
  • Good for heart
  • Helps in weight loss

Sprouts Salad:

For Salads, there is hardly any cooking required. You just need to make sure to soak the sprouts overnight in water. Half boiled sprouts and beans added with freshly chopped vegetables and some lemon juice will multifold its taste. Garnish it with coriander and your salad is ready to eat.

  • Rich in Vitamin A and C
  • Low in calories
  • Great source of protein
  • Controls sugar level
  • Helps in weight loss

VERMICELLI UPMA:

Vermicelli Upma, known as namkeen sevaiyan, is also considered as a great evening snack. They are shaped like noodles and can be made in different forms. Adding vegetables and nuts gives them a great taste. Sauteed with mustard seeds and chilies makes it the most lovable dish for Breakfast.

  • Low in calories
  • Great source of carbohydrates
  • Easy to digest
  • Helps in weight loss

CHILLI IDLIES:

This is my favorite dish for breakfast. I ate them for the first time in Goa. It takes a little longer than other breakfast to prepare, but it’s totally worth it. You can add this healthy idlies, which are full of vegetables and spices, to your weekend breakfast list.

  • Easy to digest
  • Rich in vitamins
  • Helps in weight loss
  • Great source of Protein and fiber
  • Helps in burning calories
